Rosalinde Baumgartner
Painting, sketching, printmaking. For much of the time this was
my way to express what I see.
Working with clay happened by chance. A group was getting together renting space, hiring a model, getting together to sculpt. I was invited
to come and try it out. That was some 15 years ago.
How would I describe my art? Each time I start a work it becomes the most important thing demanding complete involvement. Reflecting on passing time, changing seasons and interests. The forms I create start with a model, or an idea. Portrait heads, abstract pieces and those
of the female form are included, my work is diverse, heeding the
creative impulse.
My work is collected here as well as in Europe and U.S.
